Charmi approaches High Court regarding drug case

We had reported about the Special Investigating Team in Hyderabad sending summons to twelve Telugu film personalities and giving them different dates to appear before them for inquiry. Also Read : Drug Racket - Top actors served notice

Actress Charmi is due to appear on the 26th of this month and even though the SIT offered to question her in a place of her choice being a woman, she has opted to do it at the office in Nampally. At this juncture Charmi has approached the Hyderabad High Court that the collecting of blood samples, hair and nail samples is against the fundamental rights of a citizen. She has also sought permission to have her lawyer in attendance, which the SIT has not allowed so far when questioning Puri Jaganath, Tarun, Navdeep, Subburaj and others.
