Actor Charandeep, who is known for his work in southern films such as Jilla` and Pataas`, will be playing the main antagonist in Puri Jagannadh`s upcoming Telugu film Loafer`.

"Loafer` was the best birthday gift ever. I`ve always been looking forward to work with Puri sir. When he asked me to keep myself available a few months ago, I was so excited that I decided to forego few projects and wait for his offer,` Charandeep told.

The actor will lock horns with Varun Tej in the film, which is currently being shot at Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

We`ve already completed the first schedule. I shot for two days and I`ll be joining the Jodhpur schedule shortly,` he said. Asked about working with Puri, he said.

Charandeep is also part of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Gabbar Singh 2', which has now been rechristened Sardar`. Although I can`t divulge details about my role in the film, I can confirm that I`ve signed the project. I`m looking forward to join the sets soon,` he said.
