Is Chiranjeevi doing a movie that Ram Charan was supposed to do? Way back in 2009, weeks after the release of 'Magadheera', Megastar was keen on getting his son do a 'Braveheart'-like movie. The 1995 American epic war film was directed by and also starred Mel Gibson. The popular hit also won five Oscar Awards.
Chiru wanted the same film to be re-interpreted into a different set-up, probably because Cherry had proved his mettle in 'Magadheera'. For want of a director or some other factor, the idea didn't get materialized.
More than eight years later, the idea is making its way into Chiru's 151st movie! Director Surender Reddy is learnt to have visualized and modeled 'Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy' after the epic movie 'Braveheart'. This seems to be his biggest innovation and improvement on the script originally penned by Parachuri Brothers.
In short, what was meant for Ram Charan has now been taken over by Chiru.
