Anil Kanneganti awaits the release of Run on March 23. His last film was Mr, Nookayya, which hit the screens in 2012. Why has there been a gap of about four years? Anil tells IndiaGlitz the reason.

"I was to do a film with Ram Charan. It's my dream project belonging to the socio-political genre. He liked the story, but since the political conditions changed, he asked me to postpone the idea. Maybe, I will take it up again in future," Anil says.

Saying that he is influenced by the style of Shankar, Anil says that films like Bharateeyudu and Oke Okkadu are among his favourites. "In my story, there is a social message. It should be aptly made when elections are round the corner," he says.
