Like father, like son. If, more than 15 years ago, Megastar Chiranjeevi set an example by launching a blood bank, thereby leading from the front a massive blood donation drive, helped in no small extent by his huge fan base, son Ram Charan is set to do something similar. And first steps have been taken in this regard.

Charan's social media-enabled 'Mega Fan of the Week' initiative is meant to encourage the fans of the Mega family to do a Good Samaritan act, and post the video or picture on the Mega Power Star's social media page. After going through the posts made by the fans, Cherry will cherry-pick the best and confer on him/her the 'Mega Fan of the Week' title every Saturday.

"He is overwhelmed by the response to the initiative, so much so he has made up his mind to dedicate every Saturday of this year to this initiative," a source says.

One appreciates Charan's thought at a time when he is busy not only with the shoot of Dhruva, but also production activities of Chiranjeevi's 150th film.
