Chappal hurled at Tamannaah

Tamannaah Bhatia was today in Hyderabad to inaugurate a jewelry shop.  Quite unexpected, she experienced assault from a stranger.

The star actress was at Himayath Nagar when someone from the crowd hurled a chappal at her.  The Narayanaguda police immediately swung into action and took the culprit into custody.  He has been identified as Karimuddin, an engineering student.

The actress will soon be seen in an ad for Pothys, a textile brand.  She will reportedly be seen in a royal role in this ad campaign.  "Royalty is something that always intrigued me to a great extent. I have always wanted to be part of a period drama and playing gentry is such a mastered form of the fine arts," she has told a news agency.

This year in Telugu, she will be seen in 'Naa Nuvve', opposite Kalyan Ram, and 'Queen Once Again'.
