The proposed 62 feet Charlie Chaplin statue at Othineni village in Dakshin Kannada district for the film ‘House Full’ the debut of producer Anuj Saxena of Maverick Productions has now been planned at the Innovative Film City near Bidadi that is situated 40 kilometers away from Bangalore.

The Hindu activists objecting to it, government of Karnataka not able to allocate a permanent place at Othineni village on the beach side of Dakshin Kannada district plus the Air India objecting to any statue over 40 feet at public place as a permanent structure made the director Hemanth Hegde to finally settle down to Innovative Film City. Now the six foot statue of Charlie Chaplin is ready and 62 feet Charlie Chaplin replica of it would be ready very soon at Innovative Film City. After that one song and a few scenes required for the film would be shot says Hemanth Hegde the director and actor of the film.

We are not doing any gimmick or taking undue publicity out of this Charlie Chaplin statue issue. Recently we have been informed by the Air India office that above 40 feet statue in open area would disturb the air traffic and it is in the rule book. On receiving that information we have decided to shift the statue to a different location says Hemanth Hegde.
