Juxtaposed against 'Vishwaroopam', the much awaited sequel 'Vishwaroopam 2' has a lot of changes in it. While Kamal Hassan was the producer for 'Vishwaroopam', he has handed over the responsibility to different entities for the sequel; in Tamil, Venu Ravichandran is the producer, while Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor are the Bollywood producers for this movie.

Shamdat Sainudeen is canning 'Vishwaroopam 2', while Sanu Varghese won the accolades for the first part. The responsibility of Music has been handed over to Ghibran this time. Albeit, the Kamal touch will remain unchanged. The film stars Kamal Hassan, Andrea and Pooja Kumar in the lead, and is scheduled for release on Independence Day. The shooting of the movie is currently pacing fast in Chennai.
