1. 'Chandramukhi' (Dir: P. Vasu): Chandramukhi, on the whole, will surely join the long list of Rajni's super hits.It is good news for Sivaji Films that its production is running to packed houses in all southern States.

2. 'Arindhum Ariyamalum' (Dir: Vishnuvardhan): Vishnuvardhan was an assistant to Santosh Sivan, which reflects in the film. Word-of-mouth publicity is helping the movie at the box office.

3. 'Kanaa Kanden' (Dir: K.V. Anand): A National Award-winning cinematographer, Anand's directorial debut is a well-made film. Though the film had a great start, the tempo is not sustained throughout.

4. 'Sachein' (Dir: John Mahendran): It may surprise critics, but Vijay's film is doing good business at the box office.

5. 'Githan' (Dir: Vincent Selva): The film from Radhika's Radaan Media Works is a remake of Ram Gopal Varma's "Gayab", which had Tusshar Kapoor in the lead. It is doing good business.
