Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi has successfully completed a 700 day run on Friday.

The movie is still running at Shanthi Theatre in Chennai.

The movie is all set to emulate the record set by Thyagaraja Bhagavathar's Haridoss, which ran continuously for over 800 days in a theatre in Chennai.

The whole cast of Chandramukhi including Superstar Rajinikanth, Jyothika, Nayantara, Prabhu and Nasser has given wonderful performances in the thriller movie.

This movie which also saw a spectacular run abroad including Egypt, is one of the highest grossers in the Tamil film industry.

With just a month left for Rajinikanth's Sivaji to hit the screens, the success of Chandramukhi has created a lot of expectations and hype on Sivaji.

A mega function is planned to celebrate the big success of Chandramukhi later this year.
