Several months earlier it was announced that director P. Vasu is directing 'Chandramukhi 2' the sequel to his 2005 industry hit 'Chandramukhi' that had Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Jyothika, Vadivelu and Nayanthara in the lead roles.  The film that was supposed to be produced by Sun Pictures had Raghava Lawrence in the lead and he sought the blessings of Rajinikanth for the same.

However due to the coronavirus pandemic the project did not move any further and fans were anxious for updates.  Now the hot news is that Lyca Productions has taken over 'Chandramukhi 2' and officially launched the film today.

'Chandramukhi 2' directed by P. Vasu has Raghava Lawrence joining hands with Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu who played the iconic character of Murugesan in the original.  The film has music by M.M. Keeravani aka Maragathamani with R.D. Rajasekhar handling the camera and Thotta Tharani the production design.  The rest of the cast details will be out soon.
