In June, director P Vasu officially announced 'Chandramukhi 2' which is the sequel to his 2005 industry hit 'Chandramukhi' that had Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Jyothika, Vadivelu and Nayanthara in the lead roles. He is teaming with Subaskaran's Lyca Productions for the prestigious project.

Raghava Lawrence will be starring in the lead role in the sequel. He started shooting for the film in Mysore in July after seeking blessings from his idol Superstar Rajinikanth. The second part will also have Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu and Radhika Sarathkumar in important roles. The team wrapped up the first schedule on August 9.

According to the sources, there are five female leads - Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Manjima Mohan, Srushti Dange and Subiksha Krishnan in 'Chandramukhi 2'. MM Keeravani will be scoring music for the movie while RD Rajasekhar handles the camera and Thotta Tharani takes care of the production design.
