TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to ensure the welfare of 156 students reportedly stuck in Solapur.
It began with former Minister Bhuma Akhila Reddy drawing CBN's attention to the plight of the stranded students. More than 100 students are stuck in Solapur, Maharashtra. It's been more than 30 days and AP govt failed to get our children back. I request Chandrababu Naidu garu and Nara Lokesh garu to kindly write Maharashtra CM a letter to get these students back to our state safely, Akhila Reddy wrote on Twitter.
Quoting the tweet, the former Andhra Pradesh CM said, Dear Uddhav Thackeray Ji, I wish to bring to your immediate attention to the plight of 156 students stuck in Solapur. I request your good self to take care of their needs and work with AP authorities to safely send them back to the State. I will inbox the contact details.
Earlier in the day, Naidu said that he had spoken with Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa regarding 300 fishermen stranded in Malpe village. His response was positive and assumed me to offer them immediate help, Naidu revealed.
