The late Chandra Haasan has put in cameo appearances in his younger brother Kamal Haasan's films but a year before his death young director Stephen Rangaraj convinced him to play the hero in a movie hilariously titled 'Appathava Aataiya Pottutanga' (They stole our grandmother). According to the team, Chandra Haasan plays an aged man who is helped by his friends to reunite with his childhood sweetheart played by Sheila the maternal aunt of Thalapathy Vijay and mother of Vikranth. The have gushed that the late producer made sure that he completed all his portions and his dubbing work before his passing away and wished that he was with them now at this important juncture.
On Sunday Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan released the first look of 'Appathava Aataiya Pottutanga' produced by Rajkumar Srinivasan and G.B. Albert and Selvakumar. Ilavarasu, Delhi Ganesh and Kaaka Radhakrishnan play the friends who help the elderly couple reunite.
