The movie 'Chandni Bar' that hit the nation in 2001 is soon to have a sequel to it. Talented filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar who made 'Chandni Bar' was highly recognized and congratulated for his work. The movie revolved around a young woman who moves to Mumbai after she loses her parents and her town is destroyed by religious strife. She accepts work as a bar dancer in order to survive.

The sequel will be directed by writer-director duo, Harish Kotian and Sandeep Choudhary and the film narrates the plight of bar dancers post the ban. According to sources, Harish opened up saying, "Our film will concentrate on the political dynamics around the functioning of the bar and how it impacts the lives of girls who work there, and supporting their families with the money they earn dancing."

Talking about the cast of the film, the filmmaker said that they have approached Tabu for the lead and nothing is finalized as yet. The confirmed cast of the film includes Suchitra Pillai, Sachin Khedekar and Zakir Hussain. So fans you have to wait and watch this space for more updates.
