Chalaki
Donning the hat of the producer for two movies (Jagadam and Arya2) and making his debut in Kannada, Aditya Babu has been a familiar face in the Telugu industry. He is gearing up for his first movie in Telugu with `Chalaki' directed by Kannada director Madesh.
`Chalaki' is a remake of a Malayalam movie that was a super hit. The same story has been made in Telugu but with subtle changes. `Chalaki' unfolds with a woman's college where the girls want to study in the company of guys. Much to the disappointment of their parents, the co-education system doesn't come into existence till the principal of the college admits to change the current situation of the college.
A clause whereby male students can be admitted in to post graduate courses in the college is evoked. On the hand, the hero Aditya is a highly talented boy but not in education. He is good in all `extra-curricular' activities, going to such an extent of even being locked up in jail in some petty cases. The character of Aditya is designed in such a way that he is shown as an intelligent guy but uninterested in education. He is suspended a lot of times from other colleges and ends up in this woman's college where there is no single guy in the premises.
Here is where the plot of the movie unfolds; Aditya joins the college assuming he would be suspended from here as well. In the college he is introduced to all the girls, including a few girls who think they're the bosses in the college. This group includes the heroine who starts ragging the hero along with her friends. From here starts the fun! During his stay in the college, the hero falls in love with the heroine, showing the regular hero-heroine quarrels.
Sources say the movie has enough doses of comedy and entertainment along with youthful music by Harikrishna. Releasing this summer, don't miss `Chalaki'.
