The 15th Annual Santosh Awards 2017 were given away at an event held on Saturday evening at Gacchibowli, Hyderabad.

Best Producer: Raj Kandukuri

Best Actor (Debut): Roshan (Nirmala Convent)

Best Supporting Actor: Srikanth (Sarrainodu)

Best Comedienne: Vidyullekha Raman (Sarrainodu)

Best Debut Director (Critics' choice): Bellam Ramakrishna Reddy

Best Background Singer: Arman Malik

Best Actor (Tamil): Sirish (Metro)

Best Director (Tamil): Anand Krishnan

Best Journalist: Bhagya Lakshmi (Andhra Jyothi)

Naga Chaitanya said, "It's not an ordinary thing that these awards have been given away for 15 years without fail. I owe this award to my film 'Premam'. It inspired the audience a lot. The critics too encouraged it. That's why we got the award. Samantha has got a house full of awards. Her newest Santosham award is one more."

Boyapati Srinu said, "I wish Suresh Kondeti garu celebrates many more ceremonies year after year. I am happy to receive this award in Best Director category for 'Sarrainodu'. More so at a time when 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka' is doing well at the BO."

Murali Mohan said, "After Filmfare, it's Santosham Awards which are held in this grand manner in the South. I am happy to receive the first award instituted in memory of Dasari Narayana Rao garu."

Allu Aravind said, "Suresh is a one-man army. Dasari garu was present on the same dias last year, but he is no more with us today. It was in his direction that Geeta Arts' first movie was produced. Suresh gives away the award instituted in my father's name, every year."

The Telangana State's Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said, "It's because of the efforts of elders like Ramanaidu, Krishna, ANR and NTR that the film industry got shifted from Chennai to Hyderabad. The industry is advancing day by day. The whole world knows about this industry, thanks to 'Baahubali'. More and more such films need to be made. With more and more successful films, many more workers will get employment. The government will always be supportive towards the industry. Whenever the industry faces issues, we will support any consensual decision-making by its elders. Coming to Santosham, even though he is young, Suresh Kondeti carries out adventures. He has made to this status from the days of being a journalist. Not just those who get awards but other heroes too should attend functions like these."

Ganta Srinivas Rao, the AP HRD Minister, praised Suresh's efforts at Santosham magazine and in conducting the awards. "We are making efforts to promote the industry in Vizag. There are beautiful locations out there. We are requesting the directors and producers to shoot 20 per cent of the films there."
