Chacko Randaman

'Chacko Randaman' is the story of rivalry and in fights between two families in a sleepy little village,Thenkasimangalam . Wrestling and tug-of-war, the most popular competitive sports in this small hamlet always created  a sole champion in 'Ottachavittu Chacko' who  has a powerful right arm and left leg.  He always beats someone who catches his fury not with his hands, but with his leg and has  earned the name. He has a good sponsor in Parunthu Gopi, the biggest landowner in the village and his good friend.  Chacko was very fond of Malini, the daughter of Perumal from the same village. Though Gopi was aware of his friends interests, fate plays a dirty game which results in Gopi becoming the husband to Malini. This events makes the old friends as sworn enemies. There after every sport in the village becomes the war between Gopi and Chacko.

Chacko who becomes emotionally unsettled following the loss of Malini takes refuge in Saina Banu and they have a son with the name Johny. But the rivalry between Chacko and Gopi persists, resulting in the loss of Chacko's right arm and left leg. Even in this handicaps, Chacko fights back with the help of his son Johny but the  loss of Johny's vocal chords in an encounter silence every chances for a comeback over his arch rival. And for the time being, Chacko was left to face the great failures in his life. The Chacko family now  has got only one man to settle their longtime scores and that is Chacko Randaman - the son of Johny Kutty. At present, he is staying away from his family, doing business in Mumbai-Manglore highway. The Grandfather Chacko now moves over to bring him back to save their family's glory .

Kalabhavan Mani plays all the three important roles for the first time in a movie in a rarest event in Malluwood - as father, son and grandson, while Mohini also plays a role of three different stages  as Mani's wife, mother and grand mother.

Mani has gone in for a very peculiar makeup to portray Chacko with a lengthier noise than original. Moreover this will be a film for Mani to prove his crowdpulling abilities to his critics, who always deny his stardom. Jyothirmayi as Meenakshi pairs off with Chacko Randaman, Mani's youngest savvy fashionable avatar in the film.

The film is the debut directorial venture of Sunil Karyattukara, who has long been the assistant director to many Mani films. The film is produced  by Saji Nanthiyattu in the banner of Nandiyattu films. Biju Devassy pens the script for the film while Jain Joseph who debuted through 'Parayaam' wields the camera. The music department is handled by Jophy Tharakan, Vayalaar Sarthchandra Varma and Sundar C Babu.  The others in the cast include Vijayaraghavan, Bheeman Raghu, Harisree Ashokan, Baburaaj and Poornima. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on the last week of July.
