Scriptwriters are always pushed to the background when laurels for the success of a film are shared. As "Chaandupottu" celebrates its mega run at the box office, Dileep is being credited for his superlative performance of an effeminate man.

To highlight this point, the new series of promotional posters have the character of 'Kunjikoonan' (the bucktoothed hunchback played by the actor a couple of years ago) congratulating Radha (Dileep's character in 'Chaandupottu') on his stupendous success.

This, however, has brought into focus the work of writer Benny P. Nayarambalam, who incidentally is the creator of both the characters. This way the makers of "Chaandupottu" have given credit, perhaps unintentionally, to the writer.
