The other day, a Central government employee named NV Rao was arrested by the Chhattisgarh police. Reason? Rao, a senior technical officer working for the National Geophysical Research Institute in Hyderabad, has been an alleged naxal facilitator.
At the time of his arrest, Rao was reportedly in possession of 23 detonators, not to forget rabid naxal literature. As per police records, Rao had abused his position at the government organization to facilitate the supply of arms to Mao radicals.
Because of the position that he held, the naxal sympathizer's activities couldn't be traced, the police say. He is also an expert at the know-how of explosives, the police say.
A resident of Andhra Pradesh, Rao and his wife also run an NGO. Things are so predictable, dammit!
