If the makers of 'Aakrosh' are to be believed, the film has got a big thumbs-up from the Censor Board. Insiders claim in their heart, even the members out there loved the film. However, since they were bound by the written rules and regulations, they had to award the film an 'A' certificate along with a few cuts to the film.
Says a highly placed source, "No one objected to the core intent of the film. However, there are rules that have to be followed and no exception could have been made for 'Aakrosh'. It would have led to unnecessary debates if 'Aakrosh' would have been presented as-is for general audience viewing."
Kumar Mangat, who is currently producing 'Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji' and 'Toonpur Ka Superhero' and has earlier produced films across different genres like 'One Two Three', 'Money Hai Toh Honey Hai', 'Haal-E-Dil', 'Sunday', 'No Smoking' and of course 'Omkara', is proud of his latest enterprise. Talking highly about one of his biggest and most ambitious films till date, he says, "Those who have seen the film have appreciated it for the hard hitting content that 'Aakrosh' carries as well as the message that it conveys."
'Aakrosh' stars Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu and Paresh Rawal in principal roles with Reema Sen and Amita Pathak as strong supporting characters. Sameera Reddy has also been roped in for a special item number that has been put to tune by Pritam. The film releases all over this Friday.
