Producer of 25 films N.Kumar and director Nagendra Prasad ask this question to Bangalore local censor board. The series of cuts suggested by local censor board chief Chandrasekhar has perturbed producer and director of 'Ambi' Kannada film. Actor Audhtiya wanted to take up this issue seriously but he was suggested not to do so.

What is the problem then? The local censor has set guidelines and according to it all Kannada films have to be made. The censor has to be very liberal to Kannada films because of the tough competition from all the languages and television going beyond control says producer N.Kumar. He has argued with the censor chief with records of earlier films giving clean chit despite of objectionable scenes (to quote an example - Rama Shama Bhama song lines). Kumar also showed that the records of prosperity of Kannada producers is very poor. But the censor chief was unmoved.

With such a step motherly treatment to Kannada films from the censor chief here in Bangalore producer N.Kumar has decided convene meeting of all producers to submit a memorandum to the union government.

Director Nagendra Prasad was also upset because of the presumptions of censor board in Bangalore. No one can produce a film with such guidelines. This is a competitive world he says quoting half a dozen examples that did not call for censor cuts.
