Director of to-be-release 'Ghost' Puja Jatinder Bedi is crying foul. Censor seems to have in the playing with the scissors mood and have chopped the said gory scenes from the film.
The helmer, Puja Bedi, is unhappy and she is complaining of Censors being harsh and improper by cutting the important scenes from her film in the name of brutality. One of the scene where the ghost gets crucified like Jesus Christ is objectionable to the Censors and according to the maker it's a scene of prime importance.
"The censor board felt that the crucifixion would hurt religious sentiments of the Christian community. Also, the brutality was being perpetrated on a woman. The blood and gore content is high enough for 'Ghost' to be rated as the most violent film ever. So, the censors have toned down all the murder sequences," she has been quoted saying.
However, Censor officials maintain that the crucifixion sequence is not deleted but reduced.
