Currently suffering from the rare neurological disorder called stiff person syndrome, Celine Dion is now set to embark on a new chapter in her life and career through her upcoming documentary “I Am: Celine Dion.” Coping with the conditions tied up with her affliction, Dion says that she keeps herself optimistic and positive about making her way back on stage.

Sharing her journey on Instagram, Dion said, “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it but not to let it define me.” She shared that missing the stage and her fans paved the way for her decision to document this part of her life and raise awareness about stiff person syndrome.

Having announced her hiatus from professional commitment in December 2022, since the diagnosis, Dion has been navigating life with the condition that is stopping her from singing in this familiar way. But even as she continued to release music and make occasional film appearances, insiders close to Dion indicated a tour might not be on the horizon.

Stiff-person syndrome is a rare and progressive neurological syndrome that affects the nervous system, involving the brain and spinal cord. According to Claude's sister, Dempsey, he is doing very well in his recovery process.

"I Am Celine Dion," directed by Oscar-winning director Irene Taylor, guarantees an intimate representation of Dion's life, giving access to her battle with SPS. captures over a year in the life of Dion and exposes some very hush-hush moments and his journey to authenticity amidst illness. Prime Video will be streaming the documentary, providing viewers with a poignant glimpse into the legendary singer's resilience and determination.
