A theatre stage is where an actor's journey truly begins. On the ocassion of World Theatre Day yesterday, quite a number of Bollywood stars shared their initial phases of the career, performing on stage and gathering applause. Gifted actor Gajraj Rao also recalled his theatre days when he shared two greyscale photos from a play from 1989 and wrote, "Wishing everyone a happy #WorldTheatreDay! In 1989, I got my first major acting breakthrough in the satirical play 'Ek Sansadiya Samiti Ki Utthak Baithak'. My guru, Ranjit Kapoor trusted me with such a crucial role at a young age, and the first applause you ever get from the stage is something you can never forget. If drama be the food of life, act on!"
Up and coming actor Aparshakti Khurrana also took to instagram to share a clip or him performing Premchand's iconic 'Do Bailon Ki Katha' on stage while seasoned actor Anupam Kher celebrated the World Theatre Day by sharing bunch of pics in various stage getups.
Anupam captioned the post as, "On the #WorldTheatreDay here is glimpse of my journey as a #TheatreActor in the last 50years. On this wonderful day I want to thank all my teachers, directors, co actors and the wonderful audiences for their love, teachings and support! Jai Ho!"
