Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar said, Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless...I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in 'Chhichhore' and telling my friend Sajid, its producer, how much I had enjoyed the film and wish I had been a part of it. Such a talented actor...may God give strength to his family.

In his last film 'Chhichhore', Sushant's character counsels a kid not to lose heart.  Ironically, the actor himself committed suicide for want of wise counsel.  Somesh Upadhyay, IAS officer, wrote, As Anni, you counselled the kid who didn't have the will to live after failing IIT and inspired him to become a fighter. Why did you not reach out to Anni when you needed him the most.

Actor and filmmaker Koena Mitra tweeted, You can never know what others are going through. Their struggles, their pain, their desires. Kindly stop mocking, bullying, and stop imposing your ways on everyone.  Kindly be kind to all.  Gone too soon. Om Shanti.  #SushantSinghRajput.

Film critic Bharadwaj Rangan, plugging an article, quoted Sushant's dreams, which sadly will remain unfulfilled.  Build the biggest library in India, Send 100 kids to NASA’s workshop, Dance with Madhuri Dixit, Own a part of the moon. These were just some dreams #SushantSinghRajput listed a year or so ago. How quickly dreams turn to dust! So, so sad! Rangan tweeted.
