If you’ve not yet been hit by the buzz of ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ you really must be a hermit in the forest. Mani Ratnam’s film has opened with a bang yesterday to amazing reviews and here’s the stunning BO report. 

‘CCV’ has now the pride of achieving the third biggest opening of the year after Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ and Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Seemaraja’.  In Chennai city alone, the film has raked in 89 lakhs. In Chengalpattu and Coimbatore regions the film has accumulated Rs.2.1 cr and Rs. 1.02 cr respectively. Its profits all over TN stands at a whopping Rs.7.4 crore 

The film has Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swamy, Simbu and Arun Vijay in the lead roles. Santhosh Sivan has handled the camera and AR Rahman the music. At this rate, it is expected that the film will continue to rake in more bucks at the Box Office.
