The Central Board of Secondary Education's 10th class results are out. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (with a pass percentage of 97.31) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (with a pass percentage of 95.96), both run by the government, have reportedly done much better than their private cousins. What about private schools? Their pass percentage is 89.49.
About 27,476 students have secured equal to or more than 95% marks, a report says. And about 1,31,493 students have scored equal to or more than 90% marks.
About 16,24,682 candidates undertook the exam. And of these, about 1,86,067 students have passed in compartment.
"CBSE class X results declared today for all 10 regions. 86.70 % of students qualify the examinations. Girls shine with a pass percentage of 88.67% and leading Boys with a margin of 3.35%," a statement from CBSE's headquarters said.
