The recent roughing up of Dr Sudhakar by the Vizag police has been a talk of the town. On Friday, the High Court of Andhra Pradesh ordered that the CBI should launch an inquiry into the incident.
Soon after, TDP leader and former Minister Nara Lokesh took to Twitter to describe Jaganmohan Reddy as an "unmaadhi" and wrote that a Dalit doctor has been assaulted for being dutiful. "A maniac has labelled someone as a mad man for merely questioning the government. Dr Sudhakar's service to the people for a long time will be his Sri Rama 'raksha'. The CBI investigation will out the humiliation, threats and harassment meted out to the Dalit doctor, who had merely asked for masks," Lokesh tweeted out.
Dr Sudhakar had famously commented that PPE kits are not in an adequate number in the State.
