Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' is not only a biggie with huge hype but also a film with troubles from all ends. First, the grand audio launch event was cancelled last month. Then, the makers launched the movie's official trailer last Thursday but the police officials denied permission to screen the trailer outside Rohini Theatre which is a usual norm.
However, a few theatres went on to screen the Leo trailer inside their screens. It should be noted that the Leo trailer was unleashed on Youtube and was not censored on the date of its release. There was heavy violence and a bad word in the trailer. Now, the CBFC officers have sent a notice to some theatres which screened the uncensored trailer of 'Leo'.
Meanwhile, director Lokesh Kanagaraj in a recent interview stated that it was the character who uttered the bad word, not the actor. He also clarified that the story's intensity required such a scene and the bad words will be muted in the theatrical version of Leo. The movie was censored earlier this month and the CBFC awarded a 'U/A' certificate.
The ensemble cast of Leo has Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Menon and many others. Vijay will be seen in two dimensions as a coffee shop owner (Parthiban) and a gangster (Leo Das). The mega-actioner has music by Anirudh Ravichander, visuals by Manoj Paramahamsa, editing by Philomin Raj and stunts by the Anbariv duo.
