The release of Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ in Telugu titled as ‘Adhirindhi’ is shelved off to a later date as the censor board hasn’t granted a certificate as of yet.

However, CBFC head Prasoon Joshi has recently stated that the Telugu version of ‘Mersal’ has been cleared by the censors with no cuts.  Expressing his disconcert over the fact that the producers blame the censor board for the delay in certificate issuance, Joshi stated that the process for censoring a film’s dubbed version is the same as for the original film.

It is expected that the much awaited Vijay starrer will have the issue resolved to amaze Telugu fans shortly.
