It is not the right time for Tollywood producers it would seem.

Party, the film by Ravi Babu, after running into some censor troubles is now getting ready for release next week.

Now the news is that Sri Ramadasu, the ambitious bio-pic with Nagarjuna at the helm, has run foul of the men with scissors.

Apparently the censors are unhappy with the way some animals have been ‘harassed’ in the movie. A scene involving a deer and peacock is the bone of contention, so to say.

But director K Raghvendra Rao and producer Konda Krishnam Raju are crying wolf, so to speak.

Interestingly, the film’s hero Nag’s wife Amala is one of the vociferous members of the Blue Cross, an organization for the welfare of the animals.

In that sense the irony is pretty glaring.
