Cattle transporter brutally killed by a Buffalo

A tragic incident occurred in Mogral Puthur, located 7km from Kasaragod town, where a buffalo intended for slaughter gored a cattle transporter to death. The victim has been identified as Sadik, a 22-year-old from Chitradurga in Karnataka. According to Kasaragod Town Station House Officer, Inspector Ajith Kumar P, the buffalo broke free from its head collar rope and began rampaging when it was being unloaded from the truck. Sadik and his father attempted to control the frightened animal, but the buffalo impaled Sadik's abdomen, causing him to bleed heavily. Video of the same have surfaced online.
Despite he was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru, Sadik succumbed to his injuries. The incident also resulted in minor injuries to several others who attempted to subdue the buffalo, which continued its rampage in Mogral, injuring a boy, damaging two cars, and breaking the showcase of a bakery. The police and fire and rescue personnel eventually tied down the animal. As the death was caused by an animal, the Kasaragod police have launched an investigation under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
