Though we know about the film’s story and other exciting tidbits about the film, we still have lots to share about ‘Mallanna’. The release date of the movie is nearing but the post-production work is still not over. At this stretched situation we caught director Susi Ganesan and asked more about his dream project.

When asked about the huge funds spent on the movie Susi Ganesan comes out with a convincing answer, “The previous movies I did were of moderate budgets as the script did not require such extravaganza. It would have been wrong if I had spent too much on those projects and it would have been incorrect if I had not spent this much on a super hero subject like ‘Mallanna’. It is assumed that only small budget films are working out in box office recent days. In a year 120 small budget films are released and are those entire 120 films make it big? There must be film like ‘Mallanna’ to balance the situation. ‘Kanthaswamy’ will take Tamil cinema to a great height”.

Fair enough, but what about the time spent on this super hero subject? “Vikram and Shriya took just 8 months to act in the movie altogether, but it is the post-production work of the film that takes a lot of time. When we aim for film in Hollywood style we will need this time to get that level of perfection. People who worked in this film a have moved to other project, will I spend so much of my time without a convincing reason?” says the busy director.

Susi Ganesan is very sure about the reach and impact the film will create post release. Stunt sequences that blends Thai chi technique, is most prominently used and every scene will be attractive adds the director.
