Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated film Oppenheimer is generating significant buzz worldwide. From its star-studded cast to the grand premiere in Paris, audiences can't stop talking about this epic drama based on J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project. Adding to the excitement, social media sensation Kaby Lame recently shared a fun video with Robert Downey Jr., discussing the film's premiere.

During the UK premiere of the war biopic, lead actors Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, and Ramy Malek made a bold statement. In solidarity with Sag-aftra, they walked out of the screening, supporting fair wages for working members of the unions. Director Christopher Nolan addressed the audience, acknowledging their absence and expressing his support for their cause.

In an interview on the red carpet, Matt Damon revealed that once the strike is officially called, the cast will walk in solidarity. Sag-aftra, with its membership of 160,000 TV and film actors, has approved a strike, joining the screenwriters who have been picketing since May. This historic move could effectively shut down Hollywood for the first time in over 60 years.

The union's demands, similar to those of the Writers Guild of America, include increased wages, higher streaming residuals, and improved working conditions. Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, national executive director and chief negotiator of Sag-aftra, emphasized the need for union members to withhold their labor until a fair contract can be achieved.

This turn of events comes after contract negotiations with major companies failed to reach an agreement. The impact of this strike could be significant, as Hollywood faces a shutdown in the face of unified demands for better treatment of its workers.
