A case has been registered against cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul, and Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar in Jodhpur for their ‘derogatory’ remarks on the Indian reality show ‘Koffee With Karan’ which were construed as misogynistic and sexist.
The trouble the cricketers had landed themselves in following their comments on the talk show is far from over, even though it was expected that the controversy would fade away as soon as Pandya joined the Indian team in New Zealand for the ODIs and KL Rahul joined India A team for matches against England Lions. Bollywood producer and Koffee With Karan host Karan Johar has his name in the case too.
Two weeks after a show-cause notice was issued to Pandya and Rahul following their stint on the show, their ban was lifted by the BCCI CoA on January 24.
