A Hyderabad woman whose husband reportedly died of Coronavirus at a government hospital in last month, has filed a case at the Telangana High Court as she believes he isn't dead. The woman, Alampally Madhavi has filed a habeas corpus petition, requesting to the court to direct the state government to answer her.

As Madhavi claims that she wasn't informed of her husband Madhusudhan's death, the court has directed the government to clarify if her husband Madhusudhan died of Coronavirus and why none of his family members were informed about his death.  Madhavi, her two daughters tested positive for Coronavirus and were discharged from Gandhi Hospital on May 16.

However, as said by Madhavi, when she enquired the hospital about her husband, the hospital authorities said that he died of Coronavirus on May 1 and as none from his family came to claim his body, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) cremated his body. As said by the hospital superintendent Madhusudhan's body was handed over to police and they gave it to GHMC for cremation. Madhavi however isn't believing what the hospital authorities say, and has claimed she wasn't informed about her husband's death and has demanded proof of his death and funeral.
