The Karthi-Nagarjuna-Tamannah starrer 'Thozha' is getting ready to hit the screens worldwide from a couple of days from now. The advance bookings have started this morning and the first weekend shows are fast filling in all the theaters thanks to Friday being a Good Friday Holiday.
At this juncture arrives a shock to the film's producers PVP Cinemas over the right of the title 'Thozha'.
In 2008, a Tamil film with the same title had released., Premji Amaren. Vijay Vasanth, Nithin Sathya and Ajay Raj had acted in the lead roles.
Now the producer of that film N.Sundareshwaran alias Sundar has approached a Civil Court in Chennai. He has pleased the release of 'Thozha' should be stopped as he holds the rights over the title and the makers of the new film have used it without getting his permission.
The Court has admitted Sundar's permission and will be hearing it Tomorrow.
We hope the issues are amicably solved and 'Thozha' hits the screen on March 25, as expected. The film has been directed by Vamsi Paidipally and the Telugu version of the same film titled as 'Oopiri' has also been scheduled to release on March 25.
