Ram Gopal Varma is one of the sensational filmmakers in the country who is not doing films actively. However, he is in the news now as he faces a legal case in Andhra Pradesh. The police officials of Prakasham district registered a case against him with regards to the film Vyuham.
Maddipadu police accepted the complaint from TDP Mandal General Secretary Ramalingam. The complainant stated that the posters of Vyuham are created only to insult Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandra Babu Naidu, his son Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani.
Vyuham was released this year and it is a political thriller, written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film revolves around the unexpected events that led to the untimely death of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the subsequent events surrounding the creation of the YSR Congress Party.
RGV made the film in support to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, for his victory in the general elections of Andhra Pradesh. But, the film failed at the box office, after getting postponed multiple times. Now, the police case has been registered against RGV under the IT Act.
We have to see if the police officials take action against RGV.
