The creative freedom in India in general and Tamil Nadu in particular is reaching its stifling high as more and more movies are facing unnecessary trouble from ridiculously unexpected quarters. The latest is Vijay Sethupathi on whom a police complaint has been lodged for disrespecting the Jallikattu Bull by Kaathaan the secretary of Jallikattu Peravai.

Vijay Sethupathi`s upcoming movie has the title Karuppan`which is also the name of the character he is playing in the film. He is reportedly appearing as a bull fighter with Tanya playing the heroine and Bobby Simha the villain directed by Panneerselvam. The complaint is that “Karuppan” is the name of a breed of fighter bull and the team are using the title to bring disrepute to it. Rupees Ten Lakhs has been demanded to pacify the bulls from the humiliation suffered. Well this one really takes the cake among the latest cases against cinema.
