This day earlier, social media outlets were abuzz with the news that Captain Vijayakanth is severely ill and admitted in a private hospital. However, the DMDK office later issued a statement which revealed that the Captain is just doing fine in good health.

Meanwhile his son Vijay Prabhakar who was on a business trip to Nellore has released a video in which he expresses his angst against such news spreading about his father. “ My father is sitting at home like a king. . of course he was feeling a little ill but it’s so wrong to project it as if he is bed-ridden. . . you’d also understand as a son how much it pains for me to hear things like this. .I need positivity and confidence only” he says thus clarifying Vijayakanth’s health status as well.
