Captain takes guard

The annual general council meeting of the South India Film Artistes Association (SIFFA) aka Nadigar Sangam was held at the Nadigar Sangam complex in T Nagar on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by its president captain Vijayakanth.
Various issues including issuing of pensions to veteran actors and actresses, construction of a shopping complex in Nadigar Sangam premises, among other issues, were discussed.
Among those who took part in the meeting included the SIFFA general secretary Sarath Kumar, actors S S Chandran, Vijayakumar, Thiyagu and treasurer Kalai.
