After more than a year of extensive pre-production works, Dhanush-starrer ‘Captain Miller’ was finally announced today. A period film directed by Arun Matheswaran, it is set against the backdrops of the 1930s-40s.

In the announcement video released today, we see the 'Jagame Thanthiram' actor making a stylish entry with his face covered. As a masked man, he is seen riding a motorbike while holding a rifle on his shoulder. The 'Maari' actor is playing the titular role. Dhanush said that he is super-kicked about doing the film.

The pan-India flick has dialogues by Madhan Karky of 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' fame in Tamil. With music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, the film has cinematography handled by Shreyaas Krishna. Nagooran is its editor, while T Ramalingam is taking care of art direction.

Producer TG Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films promised that 'Captain Miller' will be made on a grand scale. He believes in director Arun’s unconventional thinking and maverick filmmaking style. "Every single actor and technician in this movie has already carved a niche of excellence, and their contribution is going to elevate ‘Captain Miller’ to a greater magnitude," he added today in a statement.
