Captain Gopinath says ‘Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra’ is outstanding

‘Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra’, which is currently streaming on an OTT platform, has now been endorsed by Captain GR Gopinath, on whose achievements the film is based. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film is about how an ordinary man with meagre resources launches a low-cost airline.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Gopinath wrote, “The film is heavily fictionalized but outstanding in capturing the true essence of the story of my book. A real roller coaster. Yes, watched it last night. Couldn’t help laughing and crying on many family scenes that brought memories.”

Suriya was touched by the appreciation. Thanking the Air Deccan founder, he wrote, “Dearest Captain! So happy and excited you liked it!!!! Our small way of paying respect to what you believed in and what you did for our country! Hoping many more will be inspired.”

The film also stars Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal, Urvasi, Mohan Babu and others. Music is by GV Prakash Kumar.
