One name comes up every time desi representation at the Cannes Film Festival is mentioned: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The seasoned actress, a red carpet regular for more than 20 years, attended the Thursday showing of Francis Ford Coppola's "Megalopolis".

Shining on the red carpet in a Falguni Shane Peacock black and white suit with 3D gold embellishments, Aishwarya stole the event. Off the glitzy promenade, she was seen walking with her daughter Aaradhya, as usual. Aaradhya was seen happy as she walked along her mother in a touching video posted by a fan page.

Aishwarya was asked last year about Aaradhya's festival experiences during a conversation at Cannes with Anupama Chopra's Film Companion. Reacting, the actress said she looked forward to her daughter being able to share her own opinions.

For Aaradhya, Aishwarya stressed the family-like environment of Cannes, pointing out that she felt at ease among the people and in the familiar surroundings. She hinted at Aaradhya's increasing love of the film industry and her fondness for the festival's excitement and cinematic flair.

April 20, 2007, saw the marriage of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, her co-star in movies including "Umrao Jaan," "Guru," "Kuch Naa Kaho," and "Raavan." The pair has welcomed parenting with their professional pursuits since welcoming their daughter Aaradhya in 2011.
