Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Monday demanded that SSC exams should be cancelled in Andhra Pradesh. The Jana Sena chief opined that the government should not put the lives of children at risk at a time when Covid-19 is a reality.
"Parents are worried about the government's decision to conduct examinations from July 10. Although the number of papers has been reduced, it is still not enough. Degree, PG and other exams, entrance exams have been postponed or cancelled. Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and other States have suspended SSC exams. The High Court in Telangana was against the holding of exams. In the light of all this, the government would do well to cancel SSC exams in AP," Pawan Kalyan said.
"Cases are still on the rise. Private transportation is weak. Public transport itself hasn't been operational fully. We are making the demand for the cancellation of exams after consulting educationalists and medical experts," Pawan added.
