Many in India are under the false impression that Indian heat conditions don't support COVID-19.  Yes, a number of medical experts hold this view.  However, even in the medical fraternity, there is no consensus over this.

Sudha Murthy, the Chairperson of Infosys Foundation, has said that there is no evidence to claim conclusively that COVID-19 or novel Coronavirus dies in conditions of heat.  "It is not scientifically proven that the virus dies in high temperatures.  For example, it is peak summer in Australia.  In Singapore, heat is high throughout the year.  COVID-19 is spreading in these countries despite the heat conditions," Sudha Murthy said in a letter addressed to the Government of Karnataka.

Meanwhile, VDP Associates is of the view that multinational companies should make 'Work From Home' compulsory.  "3/4th of the cases reported in India are of IT employees. It would be better served if MNC's are closed for the next 10-15 days and work from home is granted," the psephological organization said.
