Telugu cinema’s formerly happening comedian Prudhvi Raj is no more a critic of the Jana Sena Party. Formerly with the YSR Congress Party, the artist is now in the Pawan Kalyan camp.
His Friday meeting with Mega Brother and Jana Sena functionary Naga Babu has been widely publicized. There was a time when Prudhvi was a trenchant critic of Pawan but he is now a supporter of the actor-politician. He has said that he is ready to do anything for Pawan.
Prudhvi was miffed with how he was allegedly belittled by some YCP leaders after using his services in the run-up to the 2019 elections. He challenged them to mingle with people if they are true leaders.
In an interview, the senior artist said that he doesn’t trust humans and instead showers trust in pets. “My pets can sense untrustworthy people who come to meet me. They caution me by barking aloud,” Prudhvi told a YouTube channel.
“Even after I entered politics, it is cinema that has rescued me. After I caught Covid-19 in 2020, nobody in the party (YCP) came to help me. The film industry was there and the Mega family stood by me,” he added.
