Can a K Raghavendra Rao learn from Martin Scorsese?

Two veteran Hollywood filmmakers have slammed the 'Marvel' movies quite harshly. They are Martin Scorsese and Francis Coppola. The legendary filmmakers have sparked a debate in Hollywood by doing so.
The question is, when are we going to see such a culture in the Indian film industries? "In Tollywood, for example, legends such as K Raghavendra Rao open their mouths only to praise today's movies. They not only refrain from forcefully criticizing the mediocrity of contemporary movies but also tend to see criticism as some sort of a negative trait," a commentator says.
When Dasari Narayana Rao was alive, he would at times pooh-pooh the absence of soul in the love stories made in the 21st century. However, he would not take any specific names. "I think we have a culture of being politically correct, especially in the Telugu film industry. The audience are inclined to see critics as publicity-mongers and jealous-minded. If the likes of Raghavendra Rao don't make solid, hard-hitting comments on outrageous stuff, who else will?" the observer asks.
Many of today's A-list movies and blockbusters are superficial and lazy. None of them get a drubbing from ex-visionaries like the 'Darsakendrudu'.
