Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu Music Review

For those of you who expected Mani Sharma to do a balancing act, the audio might let you down a bit.  Far from dishing out a veritable mix of genres, the album seems a rehash of yesteryear songs.

Bhaskarabhatla's lyrics do not disappoint, while the singers prove a good choice.  A must-listen for the mass audience.

For a reigning star like Pawan and a larger-than-life journalist like Rambabu, the theme song of less than 2 minutes length is somewhat disappointing.  But Mani Sharma's pulsating instrumentation makes for the displeasure over the short length.  Bhaskarabhatla's simple but forceful lyrics deserve a mention.

The song begins like a hummable number, setting the tone for a string of typical masala lyrics that Bhaskarabhatla is known for.  Karunya and Chaitra give it the much-needed modish edge.  As of Mani Sharma, he is his vintage self.

When lust turns pathological.. When the girl gets promiscuous..  And then the boy breaks into a folk song.. Crooned to good effect by Kushi Murali and Shravana Bhargavi, the song could have been better musically.  Lyrics are a throwback to the songs filled with doubles entendres of the bygone era, that always came in good number.

'Melody Brahma' doles out an inspired output here.  Hemachandra croons it with aplomb though.  Although not original, 'Extraordinary' is album's most catchy song.  Bhaskarabhatla bores after a while, clearly by overusing the very ordinary word.

While the lyrics sound as if they have been taken from a balladeer's notebook, Mani Sharma's tune is sure to conjure up the image of a Communist revolutionary.  The vocals of Hemachandra, Karunya, Sri Kirshna and Narendra, together with the lyrics, bring down the song to the hoi polloi's level, with no grandstanding or strings attached.  The music should have been innovative though.

The song begins with a high but becomes hackneyed very soon.  Bhaskarabhatla uses everyday lingo to comical effect, but the song itself becomes noisy when it comes to stanzas.  Narendra is at his usual best, while Geetha Madhuri breathes life into an otherwise ordinary song.
